I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem.
There's a merchant in the gate district who wants you go into his "basement" and rescue someone. Everything is fine until I get to a bridge with a bunch of archers. I dispatch one or two, and then as I'm heading to the next, the gears icon in the upper left corner pops up, my cursor turns to gears. The problem: nothing else happens. No one approaches and talks, or anything. The game doesn't freeze. The gears are moving, and I can even save the game (which I did hoping it would fix the problem...no it didn't)!
I think this could be an AI-based problem. In Arcanum, there's a similiar problem during the bank robbery in Shrouded Hills when I used turn-based combat. Everything freezes. I get past that with Arcanum by going into the settings and briefly changing the combat to real-time. But I can't do that with Lionheart!
Is there a workaround or fix? (Aside from reload and try again.) And is this a common thing in Lionheart?

How many times has this happened to you? Did you actually try reloading and doing the area over?
I've had this happen to me before, the way I solved it was by charging down the middle of the bridge to try get as close to the NPC before the cutscene kicks in. ( If you're not fast enough, you may want to consult ( aka Save/Load ) the chests nearby for some boots 'of Speed' ( you'll want a pair regardless ). This is the only place I've ever noticed this happen, so it's pretty rare, also keep in mind that the location it's occurring is part of the bonus cd.

Edit: Have you tried pressing 'Enter' ( Return )? This skips cutscenes.
