I have the impression that some "successes" ("trophies" or "achievements", I don't know the right term in English) don't work.
This concerns 5 of them. the ones that reward the player for finding ALL the pictures of an episode (by the way those 5 have 0% of achievement).

Do you confirm my doubts?

Yep, achievements are bugged. It seems to be a norm for GOG games so I doubt it will be fixed. The only fix would be to contact GOG support and they will unlock the bugged achievements for you.

Just to list the affected ones, they are:
Visionary - Take all optional photos in Episode 1: Chrysalis
Lab Master - Take all optional photos in Episode 2: Out of Time
Camera Eye - Take all optional photos in Episode 3: Chaos Theory
Shutterbug - Take all optional photos in Episode 4: Dark Room
Selfie Awareness - Take all optional photos in Episode 5: Polarized

This is the first Gog game where the achievements are bugged. But maybe it's something wonky with the server crash of a couple of days ago.
Either way, I've played through most of Before the Storm Ep.1 , including most graffiti's and have gotten no achievement yet.

I've had odd issues with achievements and games on GOG. Sometimes changing to Windowed or Borderless instead of Fullscreen let achievements unlock, I think I had that issue with this game as well.

Is there any chance they will fix the "take all optional photos in Episode" issue? I tried switching to windowed mode and that didn't help. I'd really like to be able to get them..

For the record it didn't give me the "finish episode" for 4 and 5 but I replayed from the end for both and managed to get both on the second try.

Howdy. Been having this exact problem, but only for me ANY of the achievements do not trigger. It`s kinda sad actually. First, problems with launching the game, now achievements don`t trigger. Maybe it is time to refund the game after all..

Achievements did unlock for me only when playing online on Galaxy. While I was playing offline i could still add photos to the journal, but the achievements would not trigger.

In chapter / collectibles mode i was able to take the pictures once more and unlock the achievements too. It just takes a few seconds. Skip all the dialogue and run to the photo spot. But after i got all pictures a second time the final achievement (collect all in episode 1) would still not trigger.

Some people (0.1 %) got it though. Maybe they did unlock it in one single session and without the collector mode.

But yes. Achievements in this game are seriously bugged.

I did try one single session not collector mode for episode 1 and I still didn't unlock the achievement for that episode.

I just noticed this bug and unfortunately I think waiting for Square Enix or GOG to do something is pointless.

Click on Contact > Get Support. After a couple more steps you can finally describe the problem. At the end of the process copy the code they will provide you.

I've already done that and I'll write the eventual answer here.

I got a strange response from Square Enix support:

"We apologize for the problems you are experiencing. However the gog.com software is a third party client, which we do not provide support for. Please contact gog.com Support directly for any assistance with their client."

So either they're incompetent or they're just a bunch of careless people who left all the work on their games to GOG. Which confirms all the problems that they have had to solve with their latest releases that are basically bypassed Steam versions.

So, it's another unfortunate addition to the google spreadsheet, then?

I was about to contact GOG support again, but I noticed that the percentage of the bugged achievements has risen and it's now at 0.2%, so maybe they have been fixed? Has anyone tried? It might be enough to redo at least one photo, or it might be necessary to start with a new save.
