Unfortunately none of these games actually work as well in ScummVM (Sierra games run a bit slower in ScummVM), and the use of ScummVM lead to them removing KQ6 hires version. It may also be the reason KQ7 was left out.
Think of The ega version of leisure suit Larry as the original remake of softporn adventure. The vga version is a 256 color remake of the ega game.

They all have similar puzzles, one is a text adventure, the other two have completely different artwork. The first two use parser typing interface. The third uses a curser point and click interface.

Beyond that there are some script/narrative differences here or there.
