I just wanted to tell you, that ScummVM 1.8 was just released.

For Leisure Suit Larry games the following changes were applied:
- Alt-X now doesn't quit ScummVM anymore, which means it's possible to finally skip the age check in Larry 1
- The graphical code for the AGI engine was completely rewritten, compatibility for Larry 1 AGI should be even better now. The latest daily build even includes support for the high resolution Hercules font (not included in the official 1.8 release, because there was not enough time left)
- The game breaking game bug in Larry 5 is now fixed by script patch automatically
- Another game bug in Larry 2 was fixed by script patch, no points were awarded for wearing the parachute. This just worked by accident in the original interpreter
The game bug in Larry 5 occurs, when you call the green card company in Miami, a taxi will also arrive. When the player doesn't call the taxi company as well and just uses that taxi, he will get stuck at the dentist office won't be able to get back.
Saved games made with older versions of ScummVM should be compatible, which means users should be able to upgrade without getting into issues. I have also informed GOG support about this. The ScummVM version delivered by GOG for this collection is seriously outdated and should be replaced.
