I agree I missed it myself.

If you set up symbolic links, you can still install LSL7 wherever you want until GoG figures out how to get it functional without a workaround. People would do it a lot for Steam games before they introduced the option.

Here's a really good explanation of how to do it. Helpful for people who hate to have stuff on C:\ that doesn't need to be there, or are constrained due to a small SSD or something like that.

I noticed that there is an easier solution, which was already mentioned above: if you remove all spaces from the install path it should also work. When I first installed the game I got the same error as the OP, but when I installed the game at "D:\games\Larry7" it worked perfectly. This is particularly useful as I don't want to install anything on my C:\ (it being a SSD). Hope this also helps others!
