As you may or not know, the Leisure Suit Series got a release on steam.

Funnily enough, a company called "Assemble Games" (German one..) is credited there as the developer and publisher of these games, not Sierra On-Line / Activision.

Most fun part is that if you buy and install the games you get the GOG (Galaxy) version as evident in https://imgur.com/a/B18o6 . Has been this done with permission with the (original) owners and / or GOG?

Date of release is there some time bevor christmas, 17th December 2017 and there is also a wholesale of the publishers catalogue running on Indiegala for about 5 US$ :)
Assemble Entertainment employees have posts in forum threads there mentioning that they have the rights on license through Codemasters (the publisher with the current rights to the older games, except Reloaded). The way that the Steam store interface handles developer/publisher display is also mentioned in one of their posts (not to a particularly helpful degree, but it certainly doesn't give off the impression that they're wanting people to believe they developed all the games).

This is also not an uncommon occurrence for them to use the GOG versions of the game - similar happened with the old Tomb Raider releases and people were equally confused as to why they had GOG files in their Steam install directories.
