I'm playing this at the moment on 64 Windows8 and it has been working perfectly for me. That is until you get about halfway into the game where Larry attempts to satisfy a girl called Char from the mud baths. Whilst she has you strapped to her fetish table complete with restraints and nipple clamps, she turns the voltage up.

When this happens my game freezes every time until I'm prompted with the generic 'ScummVm has stopped responding' message.

Still looking on how I can resolve this, but if anyone can help, greatly appreciated!

Tested it on my Windows 8.1 machine using the SVGA version and it got through the scene just fine. I would suggest using that version in any case, as it is the definitive one with better details.

Tested the VGA version on my Windows 7 machine. The problem you mentioned happened there. Like I said though, SVGA works perfectly and looks better.

Hi,

I'm a ScummVM developer. I just tried using the latest ScummVM version on Windows XP 32-bit using an international version of Leisure Suit Larry 6 and it works just fine for me.

Can you please tell me, which version of ScummVM you used?

Can you also please take a look inside your Larry 6 game file directory and tell me, if there is any file called "380.scr" or actually any file that starts with "380"? Please also open the file called "VERSION" and tell me, what version your game is.

If you got a save right before that scene, then it would be really helpful if you could send it to me.

Regards
Martin Kiewitz
I just talked to another developer.
This was actually a ScummVM bug in the midi player and was fixed in 2013.

Please just use the latest official ScummVM version (or even a daily build). It will work then.
I am experiencing the same issue. And of course I can not use the savegame from the VGA version within the SVGA version. Boy am I annoyed...

If you are using ScummVM, please tell me which version you are using.

If it's not the latest official ScummVM release (1.7 atm), then just download it and it should work.

Well, I just moved to a new flat. So no internet for me. Without that I won't be able to download anything.

But I found a lazy workaround: I just fastforwarded the scene and was able to avoid the bug and to finish the game.

ScummVM is 1.6.0.

That's the problem. GOG told me that they updated their bundle last year to use ScummVM 1.7. Back then they used 1.6, although 1.7 was already released at the time they released this game on GOG.

It should definitely work with ScummVM 1.7.
