So Magna Cum Laude is now on GOG...

Is this really the uncensored version (no black bars)?

I may have to pick it up for my collection (and so I can have it for source to expand information on the Larry Wiki), but eh, I think I'll wait for a discount. I'm not a big fan of the Larry games to begin with, and Magna Cum Laude is said to be one of the worst in the series.
The dialogue scenes are great...but everything else is kind of off. It's the same four or five mini-games repeated over and over, there are pointless, time-wasting money and self-confidence mechanics (probably put in to deliberately lengthen playtime), the loading times are awful, and it feels unfinished (there's a character at the end who's obviously supposed to be important given the effort put into the character design but she doesn't do anything).

But it's awfully cheap on GOG. I think those dialogue scenes are probably worth six bucks.

And it's WAY better than the next game they slapped the Larry name on...
Here's Al Lowe's take on the game:
http://www.allowe.com/games/larry/history-of-larry/magna-cum-laude.html
(Al Lowe is the creator of the original Larry games)
Already know Al Lowe's take on the game.

Still doesn't improve my opinion of the game series as a whole.

It's not against Al Lowe. I quite enjoyed Freddy Pharkas and Torin's Passage.

But Larry series in general is not my particular favorite Sierra series, or subject matter. Which means if MCL is worse, I'll probably like it even less...and why I'm gonna wait for a sale.

Back on topic, it is the uncensored version. Fastest way to check would be to look at one of the ending videos (obvious spoilers), DL5NBWGG.sfd, in VLC. The censored American version had black bars across the nude bits. (I just found out the UK version was effectively the AO version while double-checking this).

Long story short: Yes, this is the completely uncensored version.
I played through it a long time back. The game play is repetitive and sometimes dull, but the dialogue and situations are funny. I found it worth playing for the story and dialogue. Not the best Larry game, but certainly not the worst. Looking forward to Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded coming out on July 1.

There is a very fair review of Magna Cum Laude on Gamespot.com. They won't let me post a link or I would link to it directly. The video review is good.
