I'm considering buying the Leisure Suit Larry collection, but I only want to do so if the version of LSL 6 has both the music and the speech. Does it? I'm using a Mac.

Also: Does the VGA version of LSL 1 have the music intact?

Yes Larry 6 has music and speech and LSL1 has the music intact
I'm a little confused why you think the music would be missing. I think its built into the main game resource file. It would be difficult to strip it out.

Speech works a bit differently of course.
I think he was asking because there was both a floppy version of LSL 6 and a cd version with the cd having better audio, graphics and speech

The cdrom has better audio? I think it uses the same midi soundtrack as the floppy. No difference.

Only speech was new.

Better graphics only if you use the hires mode. But this version doesn't come with the hires mode.
