If I also have Road to Iron Forest, do I install it at same time as main game, or is it played separately after I finish the main game? Thanks

Install it when you install the main game as It adds a campaign to the main menu - it is not integrated into the main game at all. This means you can play it when you like although it is probably best to play through the main game first.
