I originally posted this in the 'Legends of Eisenwald' thread in the main forum before this forum went live and the dev started to answer but I think it eventually got lost in the flurry of posts so I'm reposting it here in the hope that I can find a solution.

Anyway the problem is that when I go into the Inventory/Upgrade window and the Battle screen all the descriptions are cut off down the left hand side as well as along the top. This is particularly annoying in the battle window as I can't see what advantages the icons are supposed to give me. I've tried all the different resolutions in options as well as turning on and off 'Aspect Ratio' but nothing helps.

I am playing on a desktop machine running Win 7 64 bit which has all the specs required to run the game.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

EDIT: OK found out what the problem was myself (still waiting to hear back from the dev). There are two Option_Game.ini files and one was not being updated. A quick change of a couple of the options via Notepad and the game is now behaving as it should. Hope this helps if anyone else gets this problem in the future.

Which options did you change? I'm having the same problem. I tried changing the interface size in
the options_game file but it didn't really seem to change anything.

There are two Option_Game.ini files - one in the install drawer (for me this is C:\GOG Games\Legends of Eisenwald) and one in C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Eisenwald

Now I can't remember which one I changed but one of them had "Windowed_Mode=Yes" which I changed to No and it was also showing the wrong "Screen resolution" which I changed to my native res of 1920 x 1080. I saved the file and loaded the game which seemed to have worked. I've now just checked after a reboot and it still seems to be working OK.

Hope it works for you too :)

This didn't work for me. Changed the info at both locations and tool tips still run off the edge of the screen.
EDIT: Changing the file in the Users\<name>\APPData folder does nothing because the data changes back every time I load the game. Marking the file as read only results in a "file not found" error when trying to run the game. That's why this won't work for me. :(

This problem is also happening for me. I've tried the solution posted above but nothing has changed
Thanks to paladin181 who has found the solution - https://www.gog.com/forum/general/release_legends_of_eisenwald_dd51c/post144

It seems that it wasn't the changing of the .ini files at all, you just need to turn off "Use system cursor" on the staring options screen.
Yeah forgot to post the update to this thread too. :D Sorry about that. I was getting ready to this morning.

Thanks, that fixed it for me too!
The system cursor setting fixed this for me as well. Thanks.
