Hello all, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. Regardless of when or how often I save in-game, no saves ever appear on the "Load" screen, and each time I die and select either of the two options I am present with an error message: "could not load savegame 'kyra3.999'" and the bottom of the screen reads "ERROR: Saved game from other product."

If I go to Windows I am confronted by a ScummVM Status Window that reads:

Using configuration file: E:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Legend of Kyrandia - Malcolm's Revenge\kyra3.ini
WARNING: Unable to write configuration file: E:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Legend of Kyrandia - Malcolm's Revenge\kyra3.ini!
User picked target 'kyra3' (gameid 'kyra3')...
Looking for a plugin supporting this gameid... Kyra
Starting 'The Legend of Kyrandia: Malcolm's Revenge'
WARNING: Can't create file 'kyra3.000', game not saved!
WARNING: Can't create file 'kyra3.001', game not saved!
WARNING: Can't create file 'kyra3.009', game not saved!

So what's happening?

The user account you are using to play the game has no write access in E:\Program Files (x86)\. Hence you can't save and the configuration file can't be written.

There are several solutions to this:
- The easiest, run the game as Administrator (right-click and choose "Run as administrator")
- Change the access rights of \GOG.com\ and its sub-folders so, that your user account has write access (right-click the folder, choose "Properties" and use the settings on the tab called "Security"; If the "Security" tab is missing, check this help video)
- Don't install the game in E:\Program Files (x86)\ as this folder is supervised by Windows and causes the write access problem

Gah! That really should have been obvious huh? I figured it was a write access problem of some kind, but totally spaced-out when it came to solving it. Thanks a million.
You're welcome, have fun playing!
