after staying on the forum here a while since release i have noticed a few very repeating issues with LoG and i'm trying to just make a small summary people can look up
#1 Q: when i start the game my screen is black the only thing i can see is some torches
A: 1. the most common solution to this problem is to stop forced anti aliasing in your gpu's controll panel and put it back to "use application settings"
2. set anti aliasing filter back to standard 4x some people have it on edge 24x
and of course update all the drivers for your motherboard, video card
#2 Q: when i play LoG my video card get very hot, but i don't have any issues with this in other modern games
A: 1. simply put vsync option on, without it your video card work overtime to render as many frames per seconds as possible
vsync force the fps to your screens refresh rate making your video card not rendering more frames then nessesery
2. if vsync did not help try cleaning your video card of dust etc. the dust reduce the cooling effect on your card dramaticly
3. you can manually override the fan speed to your video card in the driver controll panel or by using other 3rd party software like afterburner rivatuner etc.
#3 Q. i'm using vsync enable in my game, but it seem i have some delays/lag now how can i solve it
A. with vsync comes a know issue with it input lag or delay with the controlls, and the easy fix to this is to enambe tripple buffer.
In LoG you can you press the right arrow on vsync and it will say tripple on it or you could try force trippel buffer in your driver controll panel for your gpu.
with trippel buffer on the game will use more memory on your gpu but usual that's not an issue
#4 Q. when i try to start the game i get an error saying d3dx9_43.dll is missing
A. install/reinstall directx 9 remember even you got direct x 11 you don't nessesery have the directx 9 installed

#5 Q. my game force the texture quality settings to medium or lower, i try to force it to hige but nothing happens
A. Make sure you have verson 1.1.4 og Legend of Grimrock that resolve the issue
"removed check that disables high texture resolution setting when running low on video memory (some graphics drivers seem to report available video memory incorrectly)"

#6 Q. I am not able to read small print in item descriptions, scrolls and notes ingame
A. For all laptop owners with this issue: press CTRL-ALT-F12. or what ever key give you acsess to your controll panel
Then adjust native screen resolution.to match the ingame resolution
Then go to 3D: disable the AI and set the texture quality to "Quality".
this is know for intel onboard gpu's
