Any help on tactics defeating the spiders?

What I've been doing is learning how to navigate the dungeon backwards, while luring one spider at a time towards me. I do a few melee swipes, retreat backwards while using ranged attacks. Worse comes to worse I close a door on them to give me some breathing room.
Oh, and stock up on anti-venom. If you don't know how to make it, you will soon. :)

If you have a mage in your party, you can just burn them until they die while retreating backwards to save yourself from hits, and you can also use ice shards if you want more ranged attacks :D

I suppose it just takes smarts to get past them. I stuck at it and got past them, thanks for the help!

Another mode for fight the spider is this method: use fighter and rogue how melee, and mage use poison shield.. but you must have earth magic of 13 level!!!
