I'm stuck in the little hallway with the timed trapdoor/portal puzzle. Is waiting until the trapdoor and portal syncs up really the only way to get out of that hallway? I'm not good at timed puzzles and this one is driving me crazy.

Yep, the only way is to wait and get the timing pretty much perfect. In terms of figuring out what you need to do that puzzle is easy, but in terms of actually doing it it's one of the most annoying puzzles in the game.

Well, shoot. Thanks for confirming that. I think I'm going to try for one more evening, and then bust out the console.
