I just purchased the game, and as soon as I launch it it goes to a black screen with beautiful music. I prodded around and saw the advice about turning off AA and AF, did that, tried running in administrator, and various compatibility modes but no dice.

I'm using a pretty junky video card though, GeForce 7600 512mb and I'm on Vista 64 bit. Any help would be super appreciated!

You are on the very low end of the video requirements for this game. If I were you I wouldn't fight with it - get a newer Video Card instead. Even if you do get it to work there are so many timed puzzles that you may not be able to get passed them with a low frame rate.

I am trying to compare as I am an ATI Radeon user and have never used a GeForce card. From what I see the 7600 came out around 2006 or so - I am currently using a 5670 which came out in the early part of 2010. So you will need to look at something 4 years newer in the GeForce world I guess. I think you could get a 5670 for $50 - $60 maybe so the upgrade is not that expensive. Good Luck.
