I noticed early on there was a stat for Times Fallen Into Pit, so aside from general role playing (not many people want to fall into a pit), I figured I would avoid it if I could.
There was an area in lvl3 where it almost seemed like you were meant to go into the pit, so I did and found monsters and gear that I wouldn't have found otherwise.
How often have you gone into a pit, and do you feel like it was a "good thing"?
