Anyone got past the door with the inscription "Fighter's Challenge" (level 7, right down the stairway from the the secret room in Mage's Entrance level 6)?

You need to possess the Sword of Nex.
Oh, do I perhaps find it in one of the later levels, or have I missed it?

It is secret hidden on level 6. Not too far from stairs to Fighter's Challenge.
Thanks :)
Is it possible to do this in hard?
Well i did it with solo (Toorum) on hard so, yes it is possible :D

Possible, yes. Easy, not so much. Air magic for invisibility helps. So does ice magic and/or frost bombs. So does knowing the exact perfect spot to make your stand against the hordes of scavengers. Nothing makes it easy, though.
Actually, you can make it much easier on yourself if you return to the challenge from, say, level 10 or so, once you're more levelled up and have a better equipment. I tried to put up with it right from level 6 and it took me approx. 15 retries until I finally realised I really do not have a shred of chance of making it. Then I returned from level 9 (with Zhandul's Orb in hand) and then it only took me about 4 retries to nail it. Then again, I did only have ony fighter, one rogue and two mages, one of which was in the front. I believe it could be considerably easier with two fighters instead.

Returning later is just no fun though. Then it's less a Fighter's Challenge and more a Fighter's Target Range. Much more fun to do it straight away. Speaking as someone who had the same party setup (though I had both mages in the back).
