D3D-GetDeviceCaps failed: D3DERR-NOTAVAILABLE
Background: Recently reformated hard drive due to redirect virus. Installed Windows 7 on Dell Inspiron 1564. Running this laptop on 46" LED LCD @ 1024 x 768 (must use this as monitor due to laptop screen being broken).
Solutions tried:
Reinstall from GOG
Deleted D3DX9_43.dll
Installed DirectX 9 from multiple links found in these forums
Ran Legend of GrimRock Hardware Test
Attempted to update video/sound drivers via Dell but website is kind of murky (computer runs integrated graphics card).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, ran this on my nephew's computer all weekend and am addicted!
Thanks
