Are You on a 64bit OS? Google results tell me, this error i specific for 64bit Windows, due to mixing 32 and 64bit dlls.

Also: Same issue on grimrock.net, at the moment unresolved.
Try installing the 32bit Visual C++ libraries, perhaps?

hmm I found that Grimrock does not work on Windows 7. yes 64bit. BUT! what I am confused about is HOW to get the game to run on 32bit, if you could help me out would appreciate it. Ive found alot of 0xc000007b error fixers, but it costs money to do so and I shouldnt have to do that to play this game
so does anyone here even own a windows 7?

Hi mate, you aren't alone in your problem, I'm running Win7/64 and I am getting the same error message. I have a message with support staff but I am not sure they work weekends. If I get a solution I'll post here.
Jeremy
I don't get this error on win 7 x64. Also don't create three threads for the one problem.

Win7 64b here and never had a problem with the game. Try installing DirectX9.0c.

I also have win7 64bit version and I played this game and had no problem at all.
Same here, Windows 7 x64 and no issues, I am however fully up to date with SP1 and most recent patches.

Make sure to run Windows Update several times to make sure you have the latest fixes and as others suggested, make sure to update DirectX.

yep more of a backdate though but won't work without it
Hi Mordean20 - I had the exact same error on Windows 7 x64 - I just install latest DirectX9 update and it runs like a dream now :)

I too had the same error. Windows 7 Professional x64. Followed xene68's advice and updated Directx9. I wouldn't have thought of this because Windows 7 is Directx11 I thought. Anyhow, it works great now!
Here is the direct link to Microsoft's site with the download for the Directx 9 update.
