Hey kids, I had a question for you. I have a copy of Blood Omen - The Legacy of Kain. The ORIGINAL one. As in, back in Windows 95. The very first. I am having trouble running it though. I tried my luck with DosBox, but it requires windows to run. The thing is though, the way the data used to be read has changed, and when it scans my hard drive for a place to install, one of the things it checks is how much free space I have. And for some reason it won't recognize how much space I have on my C:\ drive. Any thoughts or ideas on how to make this gem work again?

PS - The person who supplies me the answer will get a box of cookies ;)
I can't say for certain, but it's probably something to do with the filesystem you're using on your C: drive. Blood Omen would have been released in the days of FAT32, before NTFS and large filesizes really took over, so it might see your gigantic (by it's standards) hard drive, and just crap out.

There are a few different limits that it could be choking on (137 GB, 2 TB, or something else) depending on what the root cause is, but you could probably overcome this by using a Virtual Machine (Windows VM) or by making a small FAT32 partition and trying to install it there.

This is all speculation, so no guarantees, but I seem to remember seeing similar things in a few other older games.
