I'm having some issues with the first Soul Reaver game. Anytime I go past this door and take one step towards the stairs it immediately crashes. I have the game set to compatibility mode Windows XP SP 3 and I choose these for my driver settings with the resolution being 1920 x 1080p.

OS: Win 10
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700
RAM: 32GB
GPU: GTX 1060

I can't post the images for some weird reason. I tried jpeg, png, jpg, and the file size is 330KB. I posted the pictures on imgur but it won't let me post the link. I get "You cannot post any links at this moment".

I suggest you to try installing dgVoodoo2. If the crashes persist, try adding the Winplay DLL patch or this alternative patch. I'm not sure why the images you are trying to attach aren't allowed, but I know why you can't post links: this is an anti-spam feature. Forum users can't post links if their reputation is less than 7: currently the reputation is hidden but you can see it by clicking here and you can earn points by posting messages.

Did you happen to save around that area and are now loading that save and trying to continue? There’s an issue that seems to happen where if you save in certain locations, the world gets corrupted somehow and will always crash in that area. The workaround I’ve found is to always save at the Elder Lair where you start the game. See my post here for the full details. Hopefully that helps, if that is indeed the issue you are experiencing.
