Found out to fix I simply gotta go into spectral realm as soon as through door and there's no crash

As this is rather large issue I find it best to bump

Well I can now say after trying compatibility mode and running as admin it not only would not launch but nearly crashed my entire PC

Is there any non reinstalling method to fixing or am I screwed?

It is really buggy and this is a common issue for quite a few users.

Crashes for me in the Silent Cathedral, teleport to outside the main gate in the cave, enter Cathedral, go right to shift back to normal, jump over water. Kill the 2 Spider Vampires then start running down the hallway towards the little town area and it crashes halfway down the hall every single time.

It was working first time I got there as I got to the room with the pipes where you shift to distort them to get up top, I saved as it was nearly midnight but on return the following day the above issue arose and it crashes same spot every time regardless of compatibility settings now.

Due to this I restarted console version and have been playing the PS1 version on my PS3 which I bought from PSN a few month back, doesn't look as sharp as the PC version but at least I can play it.

I have found a way around the save crash. What i do is every time i want to save i return to the abyss get full health then go to the part were u start at the bottom of the abyss and save your game there. Im 85% through the game with no crashes so far.... knock on wood.

Using your fix, there is a way to save a corrupted save entry.

My game was crashing (forcing a PC reboot) when loading my last 2 saves. I had to reload the game with lower resolution and with texture filtering turned off. The crash stopped happening.

From here, I created a new save right after loading (in the bottom of the abyss).

Running the game again with full resolution in the new save, worked!
