I'm on the cathedral in the room of the pipes before Zephon's Lair but I can't float up to it
is there a fix to it?

I have the same problem. From what I've read in a FAQ, after you activate the steam in the pipes you're supposed to use it to float up and fight the third boss. When I do that, Raziel floats a little bit up in the air pushed by the steam, but stops short of reaching the opening above. The previous two sections where you float up do work just fine, just not the one before the boss.

Any solutions to this glitch? Do I have to start the game all over again?

I found out this is not a glitch. I'm posting the solution here in case other people get stuck for a long time in this part, like I did.

Reading a walkthrough carefully, you can see that in this part you have to do the following:

* push 3 pipes
* turn 3 valves

The 3 valves are relatively easy to find. The last pipe is in the same room as the last valve. It's also easy to find, but you might not know at first that you can push it (as this is a game mechanic not introduced before this point in the game). What I was missing were the first two pipes. They're in the room where you float up right after turning the four handles in the previous section, and are easy to miss. Instead of floating to the opening to the new area, just float to each one of the pipes and push them.

After that the triple pipe will have enough wind in it to push you up to the area above where the third boss is.

In case anyone still has troubles with it: there are 3 pipes to push and 3 valves to DESTROY. Once you turn the valve it should disappear and you should see animation of additional steam coming from the main pipe. I spent a good deal of time trying to figure out what i did wrong, but then I discovered I did everything in a wrong order. it should be: 2 pipes in the same room before the main pipe, 2 valves in the following rooms after the main pipe and 1 pipe and 1 valve in the last room.
