When starting Soul Reaver 1 it brings up a screen where I choose what resolution I want. This is fine but I have to do it every single time I start the game up. Is there a setting or check box that I am forgetting about to get this game the stay at the resolution I choose?

I had this problem on some systems. The easiest solution is modifying registry keys ScreenHeight, ScreenWidth and ScreenDepth in Crystal Dynamics\Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver\1.00.000 entry (location depends on the operating system).
I appreciate you getting back to me on this one. I ran regedit within the run menu and looked in the Crystal Dynamics\Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver\1.00.000 entry. I didn't see anything pertaining too screen height, width or depth. I also ran a search of the registry looking for "legacy of kain" but I didn't see anything come up pertaining to those items.

Thank you in any case though. :)
What's your operating system? I attached the path and what the entries are for my version in the attachment (I admit this is not a GOG version but there shouldn't be any big differences between versions). This is for Win7 HP 64b. I may check other versions (I have a few ;)) and systems around Sunday.

I have Win XP Service Pack 3
AMD 64X2 Dual core 4600+
2.41 ghz
2gb ram

Here is the entry path I tried:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Crystal Dynamics\Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver\1.00.000

As I said I also did a search for, “legacy of kain” within regedit and while that did bring up quite a few other entries none of them mentioned height, width or depth.

I have also included a screenshot of the directory in question.
Thank you for all your help. :)

Edited to add the screenshot.

OK, I'll check my older CD version on XP on Sunday. Perhaps someone can help before then.
I appreciate all the help. I really do. At this point though I wouldn't go through all the trouble of messing around with it on a different machine. I just beat the game a little bit ago and I'll probably be moving on to something else. But I do want to express my gratitude to you.

Thank you very much for your time. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your Sunday. :)
