I'm having issues getting a profiler to work for Soul Reaver 1.

I'm using Joytokey and a Logitech Dual Action controller. My issue is that when I launch the game it refuses to see my controller as a keyboard, meaning that when i swich to keyboard controls my logitech does nothing.

I've also downloaded pinnacle profiler and that does't seem to work either.

This is the only game that I have this problem with, it's as if the game is ignoring the keyboard buttons because of its gamepad support.

I'm running the game on windows 7 64bit btw.

Thanks

:D Unfortunately EVERYONE has this problem. If you do a thread search you should find tons of them (with better tech answers than I could ever give). I for one found it easier just to play SR 1 with the keyboard which is relativlty easy (fortunately) for that game. There are a number of key map programs, I forget the names, that you can use, but unless you were born and raised on consols just save yourself the hassle and go keyboard. Once you are done with SR 1 you are home free to use any controller you want with the others, no problems.

Joy2Key is the name of the program. I used it once for a different game and didn't like it, but that's just my preference.

Really? All of the posts I've read pertain to people having difficulties with the default controller support (using a profiler being the solution). I'm having an Issue where the game doesn't seem to want to allow my profiler to work as a keyboard.

I've searched the forum for posts with profiler issues and have some up with nothing.

Just to reiterate; I have not had any problems with using the profiler with other games, this ones the first.

Thanks for the reply anywho!

Shit, I must have missread it. Sorry. Good luck though. I too have a logitech and that is the only game it's never worked with.
If you have Logitech gamepad you may just use Logitech profiler instead of joytokey.

Try running JoyToKey as administrator. I was having the same problem and this worked for me.
Thank you, Foxinburrow. Setting Xpadder as administrator totally fixed my problem. Playing Legacy of Kain Soul reaver with a Razer Sabertooth. Game and controls are working great.
