So... when are we getting the first and by FAR best game of this series?

I hope they do get it up, I suspect its probably the most awkward to get running reasonably on modern systems.

I hope so too. I barely played Legacy of Kain and didn't touch the latter ones (though situation, not through lack of wanting to) but I loved (but never finished) the original Blood Omen to death. I've downloaded many faulty versions over the years but never found one that worked. I could always just get it on PSN though of course, I wonder if that version works on psp...

According to TET they are having issues with the game's license which could mean anything from the rights to the game are split among multiple parties like say Square owns the series but Activision owns the rights to the actual orginal game so to get it released here GOG has to get not only Square to sign off but also Activision or maybe they can't get in touch with the person(s) who made any fan fixes needed to run the game properly on modern hardware or have them agree to allow GOG to pack them in with the game.

Now mind you those are just some examples of what may be causing the hold up.

The original game was developed by Silicon Knights. I wonder if they AND Acti AND SE need to approve it to be placed here? idk since the sequels were done by Crystal Dynamix.

Sounds like a hot sloppy mess. Hopefully it shows up here soon. I was graciously gifted the games in the series that were on promo, and I would love to start off with Blood Omen to do it up right. It was a game that I was beyond upset about when I found out my supposed "friend" stole it and then moved to the far side of the city, never to be seen again.

Would be really great if they could get Blood Omen released, that was by far the greatest Legacy of Kain game.

There is fan created mod/port of Legacy of Kain called Blood Omnicide in development - not sure of its current status. Needs the original files to play the demo of it. But looks promising:
