Hi,

I'm enjoying this good old game very much, it has a very good mood. Even though I'm playing Skyrim at the same time!

I want to transfer savegames to my notebook, but I can't find out where they reside. Can anyone help? I'm on Win7x64

TIA
Michael
which game are you refering to? savegames from LoL1 are in the game directory and look like "_SAVE000.DAT" and so on, LoL2 has its savegame directory inside the game directory.

Thank you for your reply! My question is about LOL1.

But the savegames are probably inside the DOS Box, not in the Win7 file system - how can I transfer it to another computer?

Dosbox uses the win7 filesystem, check inside the Lands folders, they are there. :)

Hmm no, there's no savvegame .dat file inside the whole c:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Lands Of Lore 1 and 2\

Got it. Difficult to find.

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Lands Of Lore 1 and 2\Lands of Lore 1\
If you'll get in the habit of installing your games to somewhere other than c:\program files (x86)--I have two 500-gig partitions labeled games 1 and games 2, drives e:\ and f:\, you'll often see save-game directories inside the root directory of the game itself, and you'll note much easier access to those files under certain conditions. In my LoL1 install, the save games stored are inside the root directory of the game, labeled sav001.dat, sav002.dat, and so on. In Lol2 the same is true, only the saves are stored in their own directory inside the game's root directory.
