I'm on lvl3 of white tower, and i think im missing one of the mystic keys.
Searching through some walkthroughs, I figured its the one that lets you in the room where you find the ivory key (that later lets you get to the basement). Its supposed to be found in the pit room, on one of the pits, but its not there. I cant remember if I saw it and took it when i first got there or not.
Is it possible I found it and used it on another lock?
I still have 3 keys with no purpose.
Anyone has an idea of what might be going on?

I think that key is obtained by defeating Jana, the amazon queen. Put the Amber Ring in the niche near the White Tower exit (the one with the scroll that says "Ring for admittance"). Kill Jana and use her mystic key on level 3 to obtain the ivory key.

This is a tricky area for keys, because although the mystic keys mostly look the same I think they only work in one lock. Also, some of the locks are pickable making the key worthless after that point, but it's impossible to tell which of the keys should be dropped.

You guys may have seen me doing some hex editing stuff in the other thread but as a kid when I played this game without walkthroughs (I hated walkthroughs, I wanted to THINK) there were places that it would take months to figure out how to go further... and only to realize that things had to be replayed over again to have progress, otherwise your play may have been screwed up.

Example: Not getting a Vaelen's Cube to destroy the barrier at the Upper woods. In the old version this could happen and you waste months thinking what had to be done, then you realize had to replay cause smth was definitely missing or not done right. Could happen in that game.

Same with the keys in the Tower - If you miss Jana and don't get her key, you have only rusty key. If you use that rusty key in Level 2 - the place with many pits to keep the door permanently open, you waste the key and in Level 3 cannot open the door to get the key for the Sub-level.

But if you got the rusty key from Jana and the other rusty key from Level 1, in Level 2 you can unlock the lock with the many pits and still have the other rusty key for level 3. But the 1st time many years ago I wasted the key and again was stuck wondering what next.
