At the southern edge of Claw Mountains there is a small clearing with a cavern. There is a lizard-sized tunnel in the cavern which is just a dead end. However, I noticed there is something at the end of the tunnel you can hit with spells, which turned out to be a bit of ice hanging from the top of the tunnel. Experimenting around, I found that if you use a pyra pod and then hit the hanging ice with the fire spell, it will cause the tunnel to melt slightly to be bigger. You can do this with a series of similar bits of ice all the way to the cavern (this only works if you do it in sequence farthest to nearest). However, I have no idea what point there is to doing this. It opens up the tunnel enough that you can enter in human form, but it is still a dead end.

Fire a fireball (you should have the Valkyrie Crossbow by now) at the man in the middle, the ice will melt and he will drop a bow
