Is it possible to view cutscenes when DirectX is enabled ingame? Or does it work only with Voodoo option? I think the graphics are much better in DirectX and I can choose widescreen resolutions as well.
Oh, they don't work in DirectX?

I didn't have time to play it yet but I installed it and noticed that it uses 3DFX even though it has a DirectX option. And I actually just wanted to ask why that is.
Maybe because MS screwed up legacy support in their DX libraries multiple times? Emulating a more static standard seems a more reliable choice, than running natively.
So is there a way to run the game DirextX with cutscenes working or not?
You don't have to run it in DirectX mode. Game is bundled with nGlide. This means you can select any resolution you want (4:3/5:4/16:9/16:10) in Voodoo mode, just by opening nglide_config.exe. You can also set the aspect ratio.

Yes, but it seems to me that the game looks much better in Directx :(
I do agree. DirectX looks better an, well, has real 32 bit.

I suppose there's a reason that GG decided to bundle it with nGlide, though. If there would have been a way, GOG probably might have done that already, I guess.

indeed, without ngilde / with directx cutscenes won't play in about 9 of 10 cases. you can get lucky and they work, but, well, good luck!
