I recently bought La Mulana but when I run the game I see black screen with some graphics overlays but I don't see the tiles, only a flickering hero and some NPCs. I also don't see highlights in menus.
Anyone experienced similar problems? I guess it may use some shaders which my old hw doesn't support. But in that case it should be stated in minimum requirements.

The La Mulana Checker program is provided free of charge in the requirements so that one can check before buying the game to see if it will run on their PCs.
If I may ask, what Intel Integrated graphic card do you have?

Intel 945GM Express. I can't upgrade as I have a Mac Mini.
The checker utility says not enough, I must have missed that. I believe my CPU could render comfortably in software in 640x480 :)
Or does it use some super-fancy effects that require SM3.0?! Outcast rendered in software and ran fine here :)
Ok runs with swiftshader demo, but quite slowly.
I will read more carefully next time. Thanks for replies.
EDIT: runs perfectly smooth with SwiftShader in 640x480

Try 3DAnalyze, it's goal is the same as Swiftshader, but the performance tends to be better. For example it was the only way I could play Prince of Persia The Sands of Time in Intel Gma 915.
