I was wondering if you can start the game in windowed mode. Ingame parts of the screen are always cut off. The game is not enjoyable this way. :(

Weird, I've tried the game both on a 1920x1200 screen on Windows 7 and even on a netbook with XP and some ridiculously small screen resolution - as far as I can tell the whole screen is visible in both cases. What are your specs? Maybe it's about the scaling options of your graphics card drivers?

Are you playing on a TV? Because that sounds like an "overscan" issue. To fix it you'll have to go into the graphics driver and change the overscan settings.
Did you try pressing the Auto button of your monitor?

No, seriously.
I played KKND just now on my widescreen 16:10 19'' screen and the right side building panel is always cut off. How do you guys manage to play this game?

I did not find a way to force windowed mode for this game under Windows. But under Linux it's quite easy, in winecfg, you can emulate the desktop which forces windowed mode. If you play old games a lot, it might be worth to create a small linux partition, and play the old games there. These days, the old games, especially RTS released before 2000 work better under Linux + wine than Windows 10 or 11.

There is a community maintained GOG launcher for linux called Heroic launcher. It's awesome, I already play multiple games on Linux without any special configuration.
