This is different however, because I cannot try to change graphics mode from the graphics setup. It says the game is not installed, when obviously I installed it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I'm unsure of what to do, if someone could help me debug the problem?

To change graphics mode, edit the file dosboxBAK.conf in the GOG.com\Betrayal Pack\Betrayal at Krondor folder.
My game kept crashing at launch, but changing the line
output=overlay
to
output=ddraw
worked for me

Thanks for telling me which config file it was I had to modify. I changed the graphics rendering mode and everything launches fine. I still wonder why the graphics setup was not working for me, however, my problem is solved regardless. Thank you for your help :)
