Is Betrayal at Krondor ever coming? That game is vastly superior to this mediocre sequel. I had to FORCE myself to really play this game.
Betrayal however is one of the best PC RPGs of all time. Excellent CD music, story and a huge world where you can take as long as you want in some chapters. I'm guessing the whole 'dynamix' ownership is the issue?

PS - if Betrayal does come please take the time to get the CD music as well. I find the game is MUCH better with it

Correct. It was available for a short time, and that was bugged floppy version that needed patching. The game was also available on October 1997 CGW coverdisk (that was one great coverdisk -- full versions of BAK, M&M 1, Ultima IV, Wasteland, and Wizardry VI -- no less). It was also included with hardcover edition of Raymond Feist's book Krondor: The Betrayal, that one was actually a CD version but missing audio tracks.

BaK is available on abandonia site - it's probably floppy version (around 8-10 MB) but fully playable. I have finished it no more than 2-3 months ago. AFAIR BaK was provided for free by Sierra but that was very long time ago. Maybe a new version was released and it was no longer free.

Forget RTK people - play this game. Excellent game and they even have the CD music. I urge you all to try it if you haven't.
Also pro-tip - in the first chapter do not go to Krondor. Wander around and enjoy the world first.
