In chapter 1 of Betrayal at Krondor, there is a contagious character named Orno, who can infect the party with a plague that has to be healed. Is there any quest related to this? Can we heal him?

You can't heal him.
If you talk to him you will become infected and have to heal your party by either going to a temple(the most expensive way), consuming Restoration Vials( the next most expensive), or finding the healer in Loriel by revisiting houses that were previously vacant.
