Okay, I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, so, here goes:
In playing Betrayal in Antara, when a battle is won, there is a sound played, and apparently the sound effects for ambient sounds are also being played. I get a message while that sound is being played (sounds like the sound played when a skill goes up while resting) a message pops up that it can't play more than 8 sounds at a time (locking the sound in a loop till I hit <Enter> or click on "Yes"). Has anyone else encountered this problem? I looked for some kind of configuration file or something to see if it was seeing the sound card as an original Sound Blaster (or even an AdLib card), but there seems to be no such file. This is also not a DosBox-run game, but rather a Windows game (though setting Win98 compatibility seems to mess up the game).
I am playing it on an HP Pavilion dm1 (from Verizon).
