Medals disappear after going to the main menu. I had discussed this with the dev on discord a few years ago and it sounded like they were going to fix it. I replayed again and not only is it not fixed but I can't unlock higher difficulty levels either, and the discord channels have been wiped. Dev doesn't respond to emails, etc. Looks like the game is abandoned on GOG...
