Hi!
If you are running the game on a laptop with a discrete GPU (nVidia or ATI), the game may be running only on your internal, Intel HD-something one instead. This may cause the performance to not be as good as they should be. This is a known-issue with Unity engine applications, so these instructions might help you obtain better performance on made-with-Unity games.
To make sure you are running the game on the appropriate hardware, follow these instructions:
Nvidia
- Open the NVIDIA Control Panel
- Open the 3D Settings menu
- Open the "Program Settings" tab.
- Click on "Add" and locate the game executable. This is usually located in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kona"
- Choose the appropriate GPU in the dropdown menu.
- Done :)
ATI
While we do not have a AMD-based laptop to test it out, something similar to NVIDIA settings seem to exist in Catalyst.
- Locate "Switchable Application Settings" in the panel.
- Add the game executable to the list, usually located in : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kona"
- Set as "Performance".
If you run into any issue while playing the game on a machine with specs higher than the recommendes ones, feel free to write to us at support@parabole.ca.
Cheers :)
