As per title of the topic. I saw that you can preorder for early access on the developers homepage. But it redirects to GOG, will I also get a steam key if I buy on GOG or not?

Thanks

Hi,

Buying the game on GOG will only give you a GOG key, so if you prefer Steam, you will need to wait a few weeks. It's not sure yet, but we might release on Steam Early Access in the next few weeks. If not, the official release on Steam is a sure thing.

We will keep everyone updated through our blog and on social networks.

Let us know if there's anything ;)
Ok thank you for the info, I guess I'll sit tight and be jealous :)
Thanks for asking this. Was wondering the same thing. Tempting to buy it now :)
Wait, I just saw this:

We forgot to mention that everyone who backed or preordered Kôna will get (1) a GOG key now, (2) a Steam key once available and (3) one console version once available.

So there's that.

I can see how that can be confusing :P

The full message was meant to KS backers and people who pre-ordered the game BEFORE the GOG release. In other words, it was meant for people who received a GOG redeem code from us. The message goes like this (4 tweets):

1. Preorderers and backers, email coming soon for keys! Beta available at @gogcom! 33% off! Enjoy the storm! http://www.gog.com/game/kona_day_one … (feb 9, 11:08 AM)

2. Small issue in sending emails. We apologize and we're working hard to send them as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding ;) (feb 9, 11:40 AM)

3. All keys sent, you should receive them shortly. Have fun in the snow :D @GOGcom #inDev (feb 9, 1:27 PM)

4. To be clear: Everyone who preordered on our site or on KS will get a key for GOG *today*, plus a Steam and console version *once available*. (feb 9, 1:48 PM)

The last one was sent because the email we sent them was unclear about that and some were worried they would not receive a Steam key.

Anyway, that's the context of the tweet :P

Thanks for the clarification. I almost had told my friends the false info.
