Hi,

Just started playing and found the inn quests (drunken dwarves, bard) "impossible". My party includes a champion with 18 str, I'm not allowed to arm wrestle? My 2nd lvl bard cannot exchange info with the resident bard?

I suspect I need to hire the barbarian to complete the dwarven quest, but needless to say, he kicks my butt.

Anyone complete either and how?

Hello grassBlade! Thank you for posting.

For the Drunken Dwarves quest, selecting the arm wrestling option requires you to have the Strength skill. You need someone with a base Strength of 20, or a Half Giant like the Barbarian inside the inn, or a Cleric with the Strength domain.

You can also use the Arcana and Psionics options to complete this quest.

When talking with Miya, you can select the option to exchange performing tips and tricks if you have the Bard Perform skill. Any Bard will work for this, but he or she needs to have a musical instrument in his or her inventory.

Thank you. I suspected as much, so I restarted the game and managed to get the lute before going to the inn. Insofar as the dwarves, I cast a stinking cloud (if I remember right). Interesting game.
