ok whats the trick....played this on old original and the new version I can't build fast enough to have troops fight the guys I keep losing. need ideas

Is this the one with you starting in the south and almost immediately a large number of Barbs attack you from the north?

sorry I should have said TSK of the new remake.
its mission 14 where you have to save the yellow village in the south and you are attacked by the black/grey from the north and the south.
green is attacking the yellow village from the south.
no matter how fast I build I cannot have an army ready to stop the green invasion or be strong enough to stop the black/grey from attacking my base.
I have no problem with any of the other missions just this one.
I won this mission with the original version on cd.
they move the time table of the yellow allies attacking the green or they moved the time table of the black/grey attack???
I am using 10 laborers and as many serfs I can to support them to build but cannot beat the princes foes.
don't want to use the cheat...soooooo....any ideas are welcome!!!!!!
