MONOCHROME MODE!!!
I first played King's Quest on Amber Monochrome mode, and later at school on sickly green monochrome.
It really added a level of pain and torture to these games. I think KQ3 was the first I played in colour after doing half of it on monochrome.
Anyone else ever own a XT/AT Clone with a physical dipswitch to trigger the Hercules hi-res monochrome card to override the mcga cruddy 8bit colour palette.
