Does this fix enable the cutscenes which gog disabled with their patch?

I am talking about this:

GOG edition issues

On September 7th 2010, GOG.com released a Windows Vista and 7 compatible version of Mask of Eternity for purchase. Note there are still buggy aspects such as the game title not showing on the menu screen, and some of the lockup issues.

But another problem the previous 'updated installer' contained an outdated version of Nglide that has a memory leak, and runs rather slow 3dFX support in this game (Zeckensacks and DJVoodoo2 are more reliable with this game). It causes a number of other issues including the intro cutscene being disabled. Newer installers included an updated version of Nglide that has improved compatiblity with the game.

However, the newest installer includes a new problem, in which the introduction movie and other cutscenes (flight to realm of the sun, and ending) has been disabled, making for a rather incomplete version of the game.

A number of fixes must be made to fix the video playsupport including using a different program than nglide (as it renders videos inccorectly), and registering indeo codec.

AFAIK the video playback is still broken in general (see http://kqmoe.nicode.net/#kqmoeavi for the details) and GOG just disabled the automatic playback of the intro on the very first start of the game (aviPlayed=1 in main.kq). This only avoids the problem on starting the game the very first time, but sooner or later you will stumble over the problem that the videos are not working on most of the systems.

Currently the best workaround is to download the re-encoded videos and use the KQMoE Shim (kqmoefix/kq8fix) to redirect the videos. The shim will also fix a lot of other compatibility issues with the game (do not use the Windows Compatibility Mode, it's not required with kqmoefix, and might introduce other problems).

Early in 2018 I will release a new version of kqmoefix with additional fixes and workarounds, like mouse pointer handling for enforced screen resolutions in nGlide (at some point you cannot move the camera to the right), and I'll try to fix the issues with the windowed mode...

Ok, I just downloaded everything. I will try to apply it to the game as intended. Thanks for maintaining KQ8 und danke generell nochmal für die Antwort. ;)
nicode, are you still giving support for your patch?
