Besides the Oregon Trail and number munchers....was Kings Quest 6

Wow what an amazing game that made you think. I must have died 1000 times before finally figuring it all out. I can't wait to give this game a shot again and see how well I do now.

Alexander opens his magic map!

The rock cliffs and the pegasus people..Jojo the clown and the peppermint addict genie...and the hole in the wall :D

Lol!

Was this anyone elses first true epic pc game? How good are the others? I'll probably end up playing a few of the other ones too.

Cheers
KQ3 was my first pc game. Absolutely loved it, I had never imagined playing a game that looked like an interactive cartoon. Great fairy-tale references, unique story, and great puzzles.

My first too! My dad bought X-Wing to go with our new PC back in 1995ish, but it came with a CD-ROM copy of KQ6. I loved X-Wing, but KQ6 ended up being one of my favorite games of all time. And it's stuck with me since.

My uncle got a copy of KQ7 (as well as Microsoft Encarta 95, remember that piece of junk?) with his new PC around 1994/95. He ended up giving it to me, which introduced me to the series. I then got KQ5 on CD-rom at a flea market and eventually the Roberta Williams Anthology, by which time I was super hooked. Lots of fun memories of me and my sister trying to figure out what to do in these games.
I suppose it wasn't my first, that would be Betrayal at Krondor, but I was rather young and don't remember that one well. KQIV was the first adventure game that I fell in love with. I can't get enough of it.
