No matter how much I mess with the aspect ratio/resolution, it looks the same, like none of my changes have any effect. I've put the mask.exe file in compatibility mode for xp release 2, and disabled full screen optimizations. I've tried using the latest version of nglide and dgvoodo, renaming the old dll files as needed. I've done all of the patch steps listed in other topics in this forum. I've messed with options in all of the .cs files. Nothing seems to work.

Generally, the game is running fine (at least at the very beginning) and I can see the intro video, but I can't fix this issue. Any ideas?
So....

I just deleted all of my 3dfx and glide dll files, and it still loads and looks exactly the same...

How am I running the game without them?
Nevermind. I was able to fix it with a fresh install and then running through the steps again, then using the last nglide and making sure "assignGModeName Glide" was set in the options (which previously caused an immediate crash). I needed to be able to use 3dfx.

Edit: Man, I can NOT catch a break. Now the videos pop me out of the game, and I can hear them, but I can't watch them. They were working before, and I copied all 3 video files in again. What gives?

Edit 2: I think the answer is basically, "get it working, and then don't so much as breathe on it, or it will break".

I started from scratch again, and didn't mess with any options that I didn't absolutely need to. I even left the resolution alone (which may have been what allowed the videos to play again).

I am now thinking it's simply impossible to play this game now. I turned on my screen recorder (Action), and set it to record the screen, so it's not even trying to hook into the game at all, and the game freaks out. What the hell are we supposed to do? Very frustrated.

Eh, I suggest decompiling the game into it's base components, and then build a new game engine to run it.

Failing that, try this patch pack.
