The game runs fine, except for the screen tearing.

I have Google'd for some kind of vsync setting in DOSBOX but haven't had any luck. I've even set the output =OpenGL and tried to get my Nvidia control panel to force Vsync on - no luck.

Anyone have any pointers here? As I said, the game is still playable but it's unfortunate to deal with screen tearing on an older piece of software with today's powerful computers.

Thanks.
Have u tried playing with the cycles to adjust the game speed?
I found a post somewhere for some old Aladdin game that said to try cycles=5000 - that made the game too slow. I will play around with that number then.

I've tried hitting CONTROL+F11 and CONTROL F12 to dynamically change the cycles in game. No improvement really. Game becomes unplayable if it's too low and the tearing continues to be there on the higher settings.

:(

Are you having this problem everywhere in the game, when you are scrolling through the environment, or only during the cutsceens (the intro video and the video at the end of the game)? If it's everywhere in the game I put something towards the end of this post for you, but if it's when you are walking towards the side of the screen and it's scrolling that you are experiencing this problem, then what you have to do is go to the menu by pressing the red stone in the lower right, and then turn scrolling off. And then as for the videos, I don't think there is any way to fix that as I think it is probably due to the fact that it is likely using lower quality videos than the Windows version (I know it uses a different video format at the very least).

If you are having the first issue I might be able to offer a little help. After a quick Google search, I found two posts that might help you. I didn't read all the way through them and you might have to do a little bit more searching but hopefully this will help:
