It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I tried to play the game again, and have a weird problem, that came, or so it seems, with the ScummVM version. It's sometimes pure luck to find the points to get to the next screen. I have to click around until at one pixel or so it works.
Is that a known issue, what could be the problem?
The problem isn't everywhere it's only at specific points. Getting back from the castle to the crossroads or getting from the rose house to the boat. Or from the castle to the garden. The last one is almost impossible to get. I clicked almost every pixel before I got the right spot. I can't remember this problem from earlier playthroughs.
I've never run into the problems you mentioned, when using ScummVM. I've played the game to completion on more than one occasion. I just went through those screens right now, using the latest version of ScummVM, and again, no problems. I don't know if you're using any non-default options. It might be worth your while to post this problem in the ScummVM forums & see if anyone else has experienced this problem
Thanks for the answer. :)

Hmmm... I just installed the newest version via GoG Galaxy, I changed nothing. When this is no known issue I will try a little bit and find the problem. As nobody else seem to have this issue the problem must be somewhere on my side. When I find the solution, that is IF I find the solution I report back.
I'm not the right person to ask, but I did find this on Google:

That was from a number of years ago. As suggested above, maybe you can check with the folks at ScummVM?

Well it seems that I found the problem.
Everything is fine as long as the game runs in Fullscreen. The problem occurs only in windowed mode. The reason seems to be the smaller area or missing black area at the edges of the actual screen. I don't know if that makes any sense to somebody reading this. :D
In easier words. When I try to get to the next screen in Fullscreen, I just put the mouse cursor as far as possible outside the visible part of the screen. That way Alexander moves to the next screen without a problem. But in windowed mode I can't get that far. To make the window bigger also doesn't help.
So my solution for the problem is easy. Only play in Fullscreen.^^

While you have the mouse inside the game screen in Windowed mode (no other program has taken focus) you can press Ctrl-M, and it will keep your mouse from "escaping" the window.
