This seems to be more of a problem with the game itself than any compatibiility issues. I just finished KQ1, and I ran into an odd problem. Near the end, in the leprechaun throne room, I've played the fiddle and the leprechauns have all left, including the king who has left behind his scepter.
I tried to "take scepter," but I receive the message: "I don't understand "scepter"". Now I know I'm spelling it right; I've double, triple, and quadruple checked it. It is spelled the same way in every walkthrough I can find, and it is spelled the same in the game itself when the leprechaun king drops it. Still, I've tried every possible variation and misspelling I can think of, I've tried capitalizing it, everything, and I'm out of ideas as to how to get the scepter. So I just completed the game without it (it's just worth extra points as far as I can tell), but it is frustrating that I can't get this to work.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Has anyone else had this same issue? Am I just completely missing something, or is this a problem with the game itself?
