Hi, I was loving playing KQ VII even though I was getting problems and had to restart a few times. Guess there was something going on with the game that was serious because it finally wouldn't load. I restored my computer to before I bought the package. I went to gog.com to reload but can't do that either. I hope I can get the games back on my computer somehow and would really appreciate help. thank you so much.

If you've problems downloading:
- use the GOG Downloader
- if you're already using it, try downloading the games manually by closing the Downloader and click on the Installer links on your gameshelf
- Try an alternative browser or check the security settings of your current one. Maybe it denies you to download executable files (.exe files)
- Also anti-virus software could block the download of all executable files (like the game's installer); Try deactivating it just for the download;

Make sure you delete any installers in the Gog folders, incase the downloader doesn't detect the installers. That should let you redownload them again.

hi, I had a problem after i wrote this:: I couldn't even log in. I entered my email address wrong and Gog.com was rally nice and fixed that.

So then I wen to download the games now that I have my account again, and still can't. I'm going to follow your advice and hope it works :)

While waiting for Gog to answer back, I re-bought Kings Quest 7 & 8 with another name I made up, lol. Guess I wanted to finish 7 and did... not exciting but fun.

Hello Delmignon::: I tried the dowloader, and also "re-loading" and just plain old downloading from the book shelf at the same time. I'm getting the download bar all grayed out witth a message "not available at this time". This would happen to the most un-puter-saavy person (me) lol!!

I think the message was something like "unable to get data at this time, try again later"

Don't try downloading the files in different ways at the same time, you might get connection errors to GOG. Also make sure no security software is running and blocking the connection.

should I turn off the downloader while trying to reload? I'm doing all kinds of stuff and still seeing that bar with no data to fetch. hmmmm... another game Im making up here, how to download, lol!!

I downloaded other parts of the package I bought, it's just this KQ 4, 5, 6. I won't give up... this game better be good when I get it going haha


THANK YOU FOR STICKING WITH ME! I just turned off Download Installed (the green button), and winder Installer/English popped up under the game. It actually worked!

I'm going to try to find information about the resolution for this game cause it's very strange, unlike KQ VII which is perfect for my Windows 7.
